The
Children's Center is a non-profit school and therapy center for
children, ages 3-22 (preschool
through high school), who have been diagnosed on the autism spectrum,
moderately or severely mentally retarded, emotionally disabled, and/or
multiply-disabled with severe sensory impairment or traumatic brain
injury.
Services are offered to those in the Phoenix area and in
central Arizona. The Children's Center offers a state-certified special
education school as well as individual therapy services consisting of
Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Recreational Therapy and Music
Therapy.
The Center focuses on the use of
sensory integration as the
primary therapeutic
approach.
